Our baby quilts and lap quilts are made using 100% cotton fabrics. These are true patchwork quilts, carefully cut, pieced, pressed and sewn by machine. The tied quilts are assembled with a thick polyester batting, while the machine-quilted ones are filled with a soft cotton batting. Beach Baby Quilts are original, pieced, small quilts, made in New England, in a variety of colors and patterns. These quilts are made exclusively in crib or lap size, using high quality workmanship. The baby quilt tops and backs are made with 100% cotton fabrics. The batting we use in the tied quilts is one of the thickest types available, making our quilts soft, puffy and machine washable. Beach Baby quilts are true patchwork quilts. We choose coordinated fabrics, cut them into pieces, then sew them back together in patchwork patterns. The fabrics are precision cut, exactingly pieced, carefully pressed and sewn by machine. A binding is then added around the edges. Finally, the quilts are either quilted on a quilting machine, or hand-tied using coordinated embroidery floss or pearl cotton thread.
